Host: Jon, Thom! [French intro] Okay, first of all I'd like to thank you because apparently it's difficult to sing this song. It's very peculiar because sometimes it's calm, and sometimes it's very noisy. Why?

Thom: Hah, it's kind of like us, really. We seem like calm, nice, well-behaved English chaps, but occasionally we can be very noisy and annoying, and upsetting.

Host: Okay, do you consider yourself part of the Grunge movement, or what?

Thom: Well, Grunge movement... if the Grunge movement was a band like Stone Temple Pilots then no. Definitely.

Jonny: No... I didn't really hear anything exciting in Seattle that wasn't being done in Boston two years earlier by the Pixies, or even by Sonic Youth even earlier. So, not really, sorry.

Host: Ah, it's not a problem! For you, where is the future of the music?

Thom: Uh... well, not really America at the moment, I don't think. It's disappeared.

Jonny: I think all the scenes have died and basically you're gonna get... every new band that comes out is gonna sound completely unlike every other band. There's just gonna be fewer and fewer scenes. I mean, the journalists are getting more and more desperate to find scenes and to even MAKE them happen, when they were never there in the first place.

Host: Okay guys, thank you. Thank you Jon.

Jonny: Thank you.

Host: Thank you Thom.

Thom: Thank you.

Host: [French outro]
