"Poison" is a song that we only know of thanks to 'MiniDiscs [HACKED]', and a version of it is the first track on that release. The song never got far, but parts were later split into what we now know as 'Exit Music (For a Film)' and 'Life in a Glasshouse'.
i'm no good, i am poison
leave, leave me be
leave me be
there'll come a time
you'll appreciate my rhyme
there's no tomorrow
no tomorrow
all around, and i see into you
all around
living in a glasshouse
my disease
i know everything about you, dear
living in a glasshouse
A few more versions of this track were stored on the MiniDiscs, under alternate titles like "Poison Lake" or "No Tomorrow". These versions largely had entirely different lyrics to the songs that 'Poison' eventually became. Soon after, likely when Baz Luhrmann contacted the band to write a song for "Romeo + Juliet", 'Poison' was scrapped and parts of it were split into new songs.
